About the Position

Kopanang Gold Mine is looking for an experienced Winding Engine Driver to join the Engineering team. The ideal candidate holds a valid Winding Engine Driver and Onsetter Certificate, with at least 3 years' experience in the role and a solid understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act. A valid Certificate of Fitness and own transport are required.

Minimum Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate winders safely and according to regulations and special instructions.

  • Safe conveyance of man and material. 

  • Will report directly to the WED Co - Ordinator.

  • Must be in a possession of Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.

  • Be in possession of a valid Certificate of Fitness or able to obtain it.

  • Must be in a possession of a valid Winding Engine Driver and an Onsetter Certificate.

  • Be able to solve problems independently and have sound communication skills.

  • Must have sound knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act.

  • Must be prepared to work shifts and overtime.

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a Winding Engine Driver.

  • Must have his/her own transport.
