Job Description

Kopanang Gold Mine is looking for a qualified Training Facilitator/Assessor (C13) to join the Training Department. The ideal candidate holds a minimum OD ETDP Certificate Level 4, is MQA registered as an Assessor and/or Moderator with OHS in scope, and has at least 3 years' experience as an Assessor in the mining industry. A valid Certificate of Fitness for underground work is required. A Blasting Certificate will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

The jobholder executes facilitation and assessment activities and works to strict training legislative requirements; the activities include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Effective two-way communication with learners.

  • Participate in the training, assessments, and development requirements of learners.

  • Communicate effectively with internal clients on training matters.

  • Support the induction of new learners.

  • Be exemplary to learners through conduct, dress codes and language.

  • Identify ideas to increase motivation and inspiration.

  • Adhere to training programme of the learners.

  • Conduct training and follow-ups on all trained learners.

  • Advise on learners suitable for promotional training.

  • Disciplining learners to agreed parameters and procedures.

  • Ensure that safety standards are always adhered to by all learners

  • Ensure that materials and equipment are available for the training and assessment requirements.

  • Participate and/or conduct team meetings if required to do so.

  • Maintain HRD standards and reputation in high esteem at all levels and all times.

  • Always represent Kopanang Gold Mine in a professional manner through honesty, self-discipline and good conduct.

  • Follow up on mining audit reports, action plans and incident reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum OD ETDP Certificate Level 4.

  • Rock Breaker (Blasting Certificate), advantageous on top of HRD Experience.

  • MQA Registered as Assessor and/or Moderator.

  • Scope of MQA Assessor registration to include OHS.

  • Must be in possession of a certificate of fitness for Underground.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the mining industry as an Assessor.

  • Knowledge of training systems and processes.

  • Experience in Presentation and Facilitation Skills.
