Job Description

Kopanang Gold Mine invites suitably qualified candidates residing in the Matlosana Local Municipality, Viljoenskroon, Rammulotsi and Vierfontein areas to apply for its Candidacy Programme.

The programme aims to provide candidates with the necessary workplace exposure and practical experience to support their professional development and progress towards obtaining the relevant certificates of competency.

The programme offers opportunities in the following fields:

Government Certificate of Competency

Mine Managers Certificate

Blasting Certificate

Electrical Engineering

Mine Overseer Certificate

Minimum Requirements

  • Be a South African citizen, preferably between the ages of 18 and 35.

  • Hold a minimum diploma from a recognised higher education and training institution in a relevant field of study.

  • Have applied for acceptance as a candidate towards the relevant Certificate of Competency, where applicable.

  • Provide proof of residence, such as a municipal account or a signed affidavit.

  • Be medically fit to proceed underground.

  • Successfully undergo the required security screening.
